Tai Chi and Qigong

Qigong, can be considered a type of moving meditation. It can be practiced as a standalone set of exercises to strengthen the body, and promote health and longevity through breathing exercises coordinated with physical exercises. They also serve as a warm-up for our Tai Chi practice.

Tai Chi (Taijiquan) is a Chinese martial art characterized by slow, smooth, gentle movements. It’s classified as an “Internal style” due it’s emphasis on breathing and cultivating a strong, stable frame. Our curriculum follows the standardized routines, mainly based on Yang Family Tai Chi, but we also teach traditional forms of Tai Chi (Sun and Fu styles) and other styles in the “Internal” family such as Xingyiquan, Baguazhang, and Bajiquan.
